Coordinator, Rapid Response Team

The Rapid Response Team (RRT) Coordinator is the senior field-level leader responsible for directing and coordinating all Rapid Response Team (RRT) activities during a highly infectious disease outbreak response. Operating under the strategic guidance of the Response Lead, the Coordinator holds delegated field decision-making authority and serves as the single point of contact between the RRT, the Response Lead, and local authorities. This is a highly mobile, deployable position. The Coordinator leads a multidisciplinary team that is self-sufficient for short-duration deployments (typically ~3 weeks, conditions-based) and performs a dual mandate: (1) rapid new-site response (investigation, assessment, and initiation of a minimum intervention package) and (2) quality support to existing International Medical Corps (IMC) interventions through supportive supervision, mentoring, and joint problem-solving.
