Internship Programme
The Internship Programme aims at attracting talented students and graduates who have a specific interest in, or whose studies have covered, areas relevant to IOM programmes and activities. Interns must be between 20 and 36 years old and should have less than two years of relevant working experience.
In general, the Internship Programme aims at attracting talented students and graduates who:
a) have a specific interest in, or whose studies have covered, areas relevant to IOM programmes and activities;
b) are holding a scholarship for internship placements in international organizations, and/or for whom an internship is required to complete their studies; or
c) are sponsored by governmental/non-governmental institutions and/or academia to work in specific areas relevant to both IOM and the sponsor.
d) are either enrolled in the final academic year of a first university degree programme (minimum Bachelor’s level or equivalent) or have graduated in the last 12 months.
e) are between 20 and 36 years of age.
Context
Under the overall supervision of the Regional Supply Chain Officer and in close coordination with relevant units at mission and Administrative Centres, the Intern – Supply Chain will be responsible and accountable for managing the resources management functions in Senegal in line with IOM policies, standards and commitments.
Education
- Be enrolled in the final academic year of a first University degree programme (minimum bachelor’s level or equivalent), or in a Master's degree or higher in Supply Chain, Business Administration, Finance, Accounting, or a related field; or,
- Have graduated with a University degree in Business Administration, Finance, Accounting, or a related field, and if selected, must commence the internship within one year of graduation.
Experience
- Experience in the usage of office software packages (MS Word, Excel, etc.) and knowledge of spreadsheet and data analysis; and,
- Experience delivering high-quality outputs within set timeframes, demonstrating excellent time management and ability to prioritize tasks under tight deadlines.
